The residence hall libraries are all about helping the student. One of the many resources the residence hall libraries offer is free tutoring services. Each library has its own schedule for tutors and the timings change each semester.
The Allen Library (Room 159) has a tutor present on Tuesdays from 7:30-11 p.m. for both physics and math.
The Gregory Library has a chemistry tutor on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-10 p.m.
All other libraries have no tutors available this semester.
In addition to the resident hall library tutors, there are several more options for help.
WIMSE (Women in Math, Science, and Engineering), located in Room 242 of Trelease Hall in FAR, has three instructors available this semester. There is a physics and calculus tutor on Sundays from 7-10:30 p.m. and Wednesdays from 7-10 p.m. On Tuesdays from 7:30-10:30 p.m., there is help in the subjects of Physics, Math, and Chemistry. Finally, a Physics and Math tutor is available on Sundays and Thursdays form 8-11 p.m.
An always present resource for papers is the Writers’ Workshop in 14 Weston Hall. Help for citation styles, ESL resources, grammar, and writing tips can be found Mondays through Thursdays from 5-8 p.m. Call 333-8796 for an appointment.
A Spring 2008 Tutor Schedule can be found in any residence hall libraries.
Happy Studying!
